Pope Francis canonized Junipero Serra as a saint today September twenty third two thousand fifteen. This is complete hypocrisy since Junipero was responsible for genocide of thousands of people with color. This European clown founded a California missionary system that converted thousands of native americans to an evil catholic christiandom religion.
Insulting as it may be to convert to such non-sense, Junipero also conspired with other Europeans to murder many of these persons with color. Allegedly, eighty one thousand indegenous converted to christiandom more specifically succinctly catholicism in eighteen and nineteen centuries. A total of twenty one missionaries were created by the Catholic Vatican church and Spain.
Around sixty thousand indegenous people were murdered in these missionaries or as indirect results there of. Many of these people with color were worked and starved to death. Around nineteen ten only sixteen thousand indegenous in what is now known as California remained.
Corrina Gould, a co-founder of Indian People Organizing for Change and an Ohlone tribal member is quoted as saying:
"I believe that Junípero Serra actually created and brought genocide to the California Indian people,"
"In less than 100 years, our way of life, our language, our foods -- everything -- was destroyed."
In July a most recent clown of the papacy, Pope Francis, apologized for the Catholic church's treatment of indegenous people's. However, this white pope pun intended, still canonized Junipero Serra as a saint. This to me was just a public relations stunt and a white washing of genocide perpetrated by white terrorists.
Around the eighteen thirties the mexican government sold off these missionaries to private parties. However, to me the Catholic church is still perpetrating nefarious activities pun intended against people with color and trying to convert them to christiandom.
